About Us

Drive by Press is Rolling!

Drive By Press is a collaborative print experience on wheels.  A 600-year-old printing process merges with original contemporary imagery to bring you a lively and intriguing promotional event. Each guest takes part in an experience that goes beyond choosing a mass-marketed T-shirt. Our hand-carved woodcut designs and artisan process combine to create both a unique garment and a fun, memorable experience. Guests are invited to be part of the creative endeavor as they choose the clothing item, the design, and often the ink colors. The reward is a beautiful piece of apparel to take home, and a story.

Missionaries of Print

Drive By Press’s on-site printing performance will bring a buzz of excitement to any event or venue. With a 200 - pound, 14th-century-style printing press loaded up in a 21st-century vehicle, DBP is eager to demonstrate their artistic expertise by producing customized art prints either from an existing library or a newly commissioned design specific to your brand. DBP has exhibited thousands of their prints nationwide, producing more than 50,000 pieces of wearable art along the way. They have worked with a wide range of clients and can make custom designs to suit any event.

Road Warriors

Drive By Press has driven their press-on-wheels party to hundreds of events nationwide, sharing their original print designs and collaborative technique to indy rock concerts (Spoon, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and other national bands), as well as major art exhibitions (Art Basel, NYC Print Week and the Chicago Art Fair, to name a few). DBP has inspired and educated audiences nationwide at more than 400 universities, and hundreds more outdoor festivals and private parties.

Why do you do it like that?

We get that question a lot. We have a real passion for what we do. Everyone in our crew is an artist and printmaker first. This is gives us a unique approach in this industry. We take the same techniques used in fine art printmaking and apply it to our apparel. The results speak for themselves. Our apparel is one-of-a-kind in a world where things frequently looks the same.

Where are you located?

DBP  has two studios in Brooklyn NY and Los Angeles, CA, but we love taking our show on the road traveling nationally on educational and promotional tours. More information on our tour schedule and printing services can be found on our Services page & Academic Pages

How long have you been doing this?

Drive by has been in business for over 10 years, we have traveled over 450,000 miles sharing our unique brand of fine art apparel form coast to coast and back! BTW we loved every minute of it!

Who are the people on your team? - Our team is made up of the best artists we can get our hands on!
